Alive at 25 focuses on behaviors and decision-making young drivers are faced with behind the wheel. The course is instructed by law enforcement officers and first responders, and curriculum includes activities, videos, case studies, personal stories from instructors, and problem solving that allows participants to form their own conclusions regarding their behavior.

Alive at 25 is a 4.5 hour, single session class. Arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to class start time to find the classroom and check-in. High school locations will have signage or a representative at the main entrance to direct students to the classroom. Food and beverage is not provided, but students are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks for breaks.

About This Course:
This course is designed to assist employers in identifying and fulfilling their responsibilities for posting certain records, maintaining records of illnesses and injuries and reporting specific cases to OSHA.

 

Recommended for:
Small business owners and leaders, personnel responsible for safety and OSHA recordkeeping, and Human Resources professionals responsible for OSHA recordkeeping.

 

Participants will:
  • Identify OSHA recording and reporting requirements
  • Complete OSHA’s Injury and Illness Recordkeeping forms 300, 300A and 301
Topics include:
  • Purpose and Scope of OSHA Recordkeeping
  • OSHA’s Recording Criteria
  • OSHA Injury and Illness Recordkeeping Forms
  • Posting of Safety and Recordkeeping forms
  • Reporting of Fatalities and Multiple Hospitalizations

Additional Information:
Employers who are required to keep Illness and Injury records must post their annual summary (OSHA Form 300A) each year from February 1 – April 30.

About this Course:
This course provides an overview of the identification, evaluation, and prevention  of fall hazards in the construction industry. The course focuses on falls to a lower level rather than falls to the same level resulting from slips and falls.

Recommended for:
This course is recommended for the small construction employer, business owner, or manager who would like to obtain information about fall hazards found in the workplace. The training is also suitable for employees and employee representatives.

Participants should note that while this course has a primary emphasis on the construction industry, there is application for general industry environments with construction or maintenance work in progress.
 
Participants will:
  • Identify factors that contribute to common fall hazards
  • Discuss methods to control and prevent the hazards
Topics include:
  • Identifying, analyzing, and preventing fall hazards associated with scaffolds, ladders, roofs
  • OSHA regulations and resources addressing fall protection
