Alive at 25, a 4-hour instructor-led classroom course, shows young drivers ages 15 to 24 how to take greater responsibility for their driving behavior. Alive at 25 also serves as an excellent complement to standard driver education programs. Whereas driver education teaches the mechanics of car, road handling and state laws, Alive at 25 focuses on behavior, judgment, decision making, consequences and making positive choices. Available in English and Spanish. Only NSC Alive at 25 certified instructors may teach Alive at 25. About the Instructor Course The National Safety Council trains instructors to teach Alive at 25 through our 2 or 2-1/2 day Instructor Course. During the Instructor Course you’ll gain the confidence and knowledge to become an effective instructor. This course provides both the technical information you will need to teach Alive at 25 as well as effective facilitation methods and presentation techniques. Our instructor trainers will show candidate instructors how to determine the needs of the audience, improve classroom participation and interaction, handle objections, and use activities effectively. Topics covered in this Instructor Course: Thorough coverage of Alive at 25 course content and instructional materials · Major DDC concepts and strategies · Characteristics and traits of an effective DDC instructor · DDC teaching skills and facilitation methods to increase student involvement and motivation · Specific learner needs and techniques for managing difficult course participants · Deliver a practice presentation for candidate instructor feedback and instructor trainer evaluation 2 or 2-1/2 day Instructor Course* Fee: Varies Generally, your registration fee includes the Instructor Certification Package.
