Alive at 25 focuses on behaviors and decision-making young drivers are faced with behind the wheel. The course is instructed by law enforcement officers and first responders, and curriculum includes activities, videos, case studies, personal stories from instructors, and problem solving that allows participants to form their own conclusions regarding their behavior.

Alive at 25 is a 4.5 hour, single session class. Arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to class start time to find the classroom and check-in. High school locations will have signage or a representative at the main entrance to direct students to the classroom. Food and beverage is not provided, but students are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks for breaks.

This class will teach you how to teach others how to save lives by becoming a NSC CPR/ First Aid Instructor. The National Safety Council offers certification in first aid and CPR training, to be an instructor in your workplace and community. Attending, participating in and succesfully completing the course gives you the technical information you need to become an authorized NCS CPR/ FA instructor. You MUST be an employee of an ABC Quality Childcare facility to attend this training. This class is a 3 day class, 9-5pm

The driver education program will be taught by certified and retired South Carolina Police Officers. These drivers education instructors have been working for the Safety Council for many years and have proven to be reliable and are all committed to excellence. Beginner driver’s education is a partnership, between you, your driver training school of choice, and your beginner driver. All three must work together to impart the lifesaving message of safe beginner driving to our newest drivers. If you choose the SCNSC drivers education program, your beginner driver will learn and receive instruction in the following areas: 8 hours classroom instruction, 6 hours Behind the Wheel Training, lunch (so the students won’t have to travel from this location, please bring your own lunch if a special diet is needed). SCDMV road test (to get their restricted/license) is also available for a $40.00 fee. Additional Behind the Wheel Training (if requested) per hour $50.00.
